Succlent Rose

To me the gorgeous Echevaria looks like another form of a rose.  In fact I'm convinced
that some people refer to these succulents as "desert rose" but, I may be wrong ....

...the shape and almost delicate look about them ....
and not only do they remind me of a rose, I think they go well with roses too, even
through technically speaking they are on opposite ends of the plant spectrum ....
I was "playing" around, as I like to do... and put this collage together ..... now tell me
they don't look good together!?

What beautiful pictures! So rich in color ~ I feel like I could reach out and touch them. Just lovely.

They do complement each other very beautifully.

Well done...I love those desert rose's. That's what we call them around here....they grow in the cracks of a huge rock wall we have...tucked into a smattering of dirt laying on the top of a rock ledge. It always amazes me how tenacious they are.

I admire the spare aesthetic of these photographs. They are simple and direct with nothing extraneous in them. But then I admire most all of your photos.

There are probably very few civilized places on earth that I know less about than South Africa and you reveal it to be both interesting and beautiful. That's a lot.

My mother would love you. She loves that plant and I can't stand it! Ha ha ha how tastes differ. However, that being said, nice shots of a plant I don't like :)
