A beach and wooden walkway are perfect for monochrome. Your image is very sharp with a long depth of field which gives it a nice crisp feel. We both seem to be reminiscing a trip to Europe, although I have never been to Portugal.

This walk way beckons..I do like the way it draws you in..very captivating image-
very nice image. makes me feel like taking a walk along the bridge to the other side and see what is over there :) . Conclusion, i like this shot.
Nice use of the railing line to lead the eye into the distance - great composition. And, I can see the grain in the wood.
