a protea in shades of bright pink
I love roses, love, love, love roses... in fact I love most flowers come to think of it,
but Proteas, well Proteas, they have this regal stature about them,
a certainty about the way they stand out from the crowd, so to speak.
The reality is that I always enjoy them, both in my home (they last forever and
make a statement) and to photograph, they are the perfect flowers for stills - being
large and having amazing colouring, great the contrast in texture, the shape...
well... all of it, just perfect!

That's beautiful! I have never been a lover of proteas, but every now and again, I see something that makes me change my mind! This is one of those times!
Gena, I don't know how to tell you this, but sometimes you can buy a protea in Australian florist shops. There,,,I said it. I hope you are not too horrified.
