Tropical Lily

An indigenous lily - to me looks like it may be related to the canna family or the ginger lily.

Really nice! This flower of Alpinia purpurata.
In Barcelona we have plants of the same family (Zingiberaceae)named Hedychium grardnerianum, make the white flower and the leaves appear.
Thanks Gena, for sharing these beautiful plants you have in South Africa
Have a nice day.

This lovely ruby flower is a bold red, and stands out so wonderfully in the forest sea of green. A flower - and photograph - of distinction and beauty...

thanks for the visit

Hi Xavi!! thanks so much for the info - I know it's not indigenous to South Africa and not common to Johannesburg either, so was difficult to identify!!!
