What is this?

Hi everyone! Okay so I am not being cryptic, I really need to know the
name of this "item" - the plant itself is vine like (creeping/ climbing) the leaves
are large and similar to the passion fruit leaf, this "pod" is an elongated shape
with a knobbly texture, turning more yellow as it ripens, there are red seeds
inside that apparently have a camphor like scent to them.  Any ideas?!

Postcript 7.04.10:  Thanks to Flower Spy for identifying this odd plant.
It's called Bitter Gourd - click here for more info and also visit Flower spy's blog

I have no idea, but it's intriguing! Looks like a fruit of some kind - well, obviously, it's a fruit, but I mean the edible kind. I don't know!

It looks like some sort of a gourd, or if edible, a squash. A lot of such plants have bizarre shapes.

Hi from Macro Mon. Uh, I think it's a vegetable (like squash), but I'm not sure. Great texture and color.
