Game Lodge in Magalies

Pictures taken on a friend's game lodge, Rooikrans Lodge, in the Magaliesburg, which is about 1 hour drive out of Johannesburg.

Such wonderful shots. And how gorgeous is that giraffe??!! South Africa is gorgeous through your eyes. I've only experienced West Africa so far but hope to visit South Africa in the next two years.

The BBQ area looks like an inviting place to sit and enjoy the view, especially when it includes giraffes. I look forward to seeing them when in SA in March.

These photographs are absolutely magnificent. I can't get over the colors and how beautiful Africa is. And the giraffe! That is probably my favorite wild animal. He is amazing! I can't even think of what it would be like to see him in his natural habitat like that. Just amazing.

Hi Evelyn - thanks 4 visiting - it is a gorgeous place indeed!! It's a game lodge, so they have giraffe and other wild game (except the dangeroud types like lion , rhino, hippo etc.)

Great place, I like the palisade around to keep out wild animals, plus give you a great viewing platform to see Giraffe etc, and I would love to have a barbecue there.
