The old stone church in Chrissiesmeer, South Africa
Chrissiesmeer is considered the Lake District of South Africa, a place I literally rushed
through and am dying to go back.... sometime soon, I hope!

That is beautiful and somehow romantic...
I posted today how to protect photographs (or try!) and about the stat site.

It seems quite old... well, considering the History of ZA.

This is a lovely photo - I particularly like the tree on the left.
Great photo! Love the little church..
I see the strength of an old tree that has been bent and twisted by the elements and still shelters a building that appears small in comparison. Yet the focus of this picture must be the cross that leaps out of the photograph perfectly positioned and surrounded by a halo of light against the blue sky.
The wire fence leads the eye unerringly into the photograph and borders the dead grass where I stand in awe.
I cried when I saw this photograph. I don't know why. Perhaps I am standing on the wrong side of the fence.
Very nice, Looks to be fron around the turn of the century..:-)
I love everything of ths photo: the sturdy church overwhelmed by the huge but dilapidated tree. The stones near the fence amidst the brownish grass. An excellent image.
What a stunning little church!
A great shot of a great-looking little country church, but I could do without the distracting watermark right in the middle of the photo.
I like to see different kind of churches this one had been interesting to visit.
