there's something about black and white...isn't there! it gives us a chance to focus on texture!
and it's especially neat because we cannot see that way...without colour....I sometimes take the colour out of my flatscreen for certain movies...and it's a real lesson on film ... you suddenly see cropping and all the artsy fartsy aspects of cinematography!
Thinking Aloud is about my (almost obsessive) love for capturing the moment and my ongoing learning curve on photography. It's about places, people, adventures, travels... it's also about creating awareness of South Africa (where I live) sharing it's beauty, and whatever else may come up along the way. Welcome!

Nice capture of the staircase. The patterns created are visually appealing :)
I like you perspective on capturing motives, textures and lines in this picture. It looks great in monochrome.
Clever angle, pattern and texture are so vivid.
You title says it all - two of the best reasons for using monochrome. Well done.
Stunning picture, very sculptural and a lot of movement. I love it.

I have to agree with RuneE. The pattern and texture are so good. Fine shot.
Nice image, Gena. The stairs are unusual and look like they're coming out of the rocks. Great texture!
The textures and patterns are really great! Sweet!
