South Africa in Pictures : A "Jacaranda" view

It's almost Jacaranda time, being a time when the numerous jacaranda trees in and around South Africa, bloom abundantly, dropping their purpley/ lilacy flowers along pavements, roads and gardens... it's like everything is awash with the colour. I am so looking forward to capturing some pics this year, but for now, this photo "paints" the thought, taken on a ridge in Houghton over Northern Johannesburg. November 2007.
