Il Giardino degli Ulivi

a scene at the creative hub of 44 Stanley Avenue, Milpark Johannesburg
This is part of the courtyard which is shared by a number of store owners and the
Italian restaurant "Il Giardino Degli Ulivi" which translates: "The Garden Of Olives".
True to form there are numerous olive trees, a large water feature, loads of french
country inspired seating and along the back wall display of old objects, garden
implments, old doors etc. which belong to the exquisite - Le Bassecour -
a store which specialises in selling all things French.
(see image of old door on post below).

What a beautiful place, it reminds me of our holidays we spend in Provence. *sigh* Only five more months!

Let's sit a spell, have a cup of tea and talk. What a wonderful area to shop. Love all the old doors.

Simply beautiful! One of my dearest friends lives in Capetown. I've learned over the years of our friendship what a magnificent country South Africa is.
