Azulejo: Mosaic Monday

a mosaic made from images of blue and white (predominantly) tiles and mosaics, taken in and around Lisbon.
The title Azulejo (taken from the word Azul = blue) refers to the art/ tilework which goes back many
centuries - here is a link if you are interested in more information on this work.
Azulejo  is such an intrinsic part of Portuguese architecture that there is a museum in Lisbon dedicated
to it - here is the link

I am a longtime admirer of Tile...mostly Talavera Tile from Mexico. Thanks for this look and information on the beautiful blue tiles and your Mosaic. The Tiled Wall is incredible. I hope you'll have a chance to stop by and see my Knitting Mosaic....Sue
